KRG student Victoria Millious presented her visual cultural studies research at the 4th International Conference on The Image, which took place in Chicago, IL, October 18th -19th, 2013.

Victoria’s paper, ‘Uncanny Resemblance: 3D Sonography and the Rebirth of Post-Mortem Photography‘ examines the trend of cosmetic 3D fetal ultrasound within a long history of representing pregnancy, the fetus and the newborn, stretching all the way back to the Victorian era and memento moro family photography practices.
